Inspired by classic octave-style effects, it draws from vintage sounds but is not a copy of any specific circuit. It’s a fresh and unique design.

The pedal offers two operating modes and is very easy and intuitive to use. It is fully analog and entirely hand-built in Poland.

Octave fuzz is often associated with expressive lead playing. It’s an effect that truly shines in solos. Thanks to the emphasized upper octave, lead lines cut through the mix and highlight every note in a very musical way.

Octavo features two modes. The right footswitch allows you to switch between them while playing. The LED indicator changes color depending on the active mode—green or red.

In green mode, the upper octave is much more pronounced. At higher Fuzz settings, you can achieve a choking, sagging fuzz effect (the stronger your guitar signal, the more intense the choking). This opens up a wide range of sonic experimentation and wild, expressive lead tones.

In red mode, the upper octave sits more in the background, while the fuzz tone becomes thicker with more low-end presence. This mode provides greater sustain and a smoother response. At higher Fuzz settings, it has less of the choking effect.

The LPF knob is a low-pass filter that controls the amount of high frequencies. Since the emphasized upper octave can make the sound noticeably brighter, you can use the LPF control to dial in the right balance. This allows you to smooth out the top end and adapt the sound to any amp or guitar.

Some people confuse octave fuzz effects with pitch shifters or octave generators. It’s important to note that this is an analog fuzz with an emphasized upper octave—it is not an octave generator and does not produce a clean octave-up effect.
